Our aim

We are fortunate to have a wide variety and a diversity of students studying at Stellenbosch University. We have students from all over the world coming together sharing a common platform for our education. Different races, cultures, languages and backgrounds are grouping together to secure their future. It is easy to feel lonely or disconnected between all these different variables. It is easy to wonder "where do I fit in?"

LONE is an organization that focuses on disconnected and lonely people and by creating public awareness, LONE creates an opportunity for them to connect. This platform will not only welcome all individuals but will aim to create a support system where students can get connected and help build relationships across different languages, regions, backgrounds and social differences.
